For those relatives that live outside of Oklahoma, even though there is a half iced pond it was a very nice day outside. Kacy did not need a coat or even a thin jacket. I was just looking at the pictures and thought, I hope people don't think I am freezing my child just for a picture. I went to go see Chris and Dad today and even Kayden was running around in a pair of pants and t-shirt. For everyone else who has to go through the dramatic changes in this states weather changes, you know it is possible to be outside without a jacket and have ice or snow on the ground. Which Kacy and I both started out with a light jacket on, but took them off when it warmed up outside.

before Cam's game

Before the game we took Kacy out for some pictures. This is her pretty outfit, Kacy always says "I'm so pretty" every time she puts it on. My other two went to go see "Walking with Dinosaurs" at the BOK, Nana took them. They went with one of my mom's friend and her son. Hopefully, my mom will email me some pictures and I can post them.

The pond was partly frozen and the ducks were walking on it, Kacy thought that was pretty cool.

So, my new lens came in and I got to use it at Cameron's game. I think the pictures look a lot better. Cameron is doing really good in basketball. Today during the game he got hit in the head with the ball a couple of times and poked in the eye by a finger. Through out all of that he kept his head in the game and never got upset or even acted like it mattered. Which, Cameron got a white star for most Christ like, because of his attitude throughout all of that. For those of you who don't know Upwards, there are 5 different colored stars that represent different things and all the kids get a star after the game, depending on how they did.

Cameron is making a basket. Which, I know I should of zoomed out some to get the ball and goal in the picture. I need to work on that.

Cameron pivoted all the way around and tried to make a basket (or did make it, I can't remember). I put the camera down, thinking he was just going to pass the ball.

enjoying the weather

It has been nice out for the past couple of days. I got some pictures of the girls enjoying the weather. Kacy on her scooter she got for Christmas.

Kirsten did not want her picture taken. She kept telling me to go back inside. Yes, I let my girls play outside by themselves. In my defense, I have a sliding patio door and I sit in the dining room and stare at them and the little one I have inside the entire time. The girls must stay where I can see them or they have to come inside. So, yes I am watching them.

Here is Stryder who he thinks it is cruel punishment not to be able to go and play outside with the girls. On top of being able to see them, I also have the patio door cracked. He can smell, feel and see the outside, but he just can't make it out there. If in the picture Stryder looks a little tired, it's because he is. I took this at 4:30 and he did not sleep at all today. No catnaps no nothing just moments like these where he stares in a daze.

In need

Kirsten has been collecting change and wants to have a piggy bank. I told her I would buy one, but I thought it would be cute if she made one. I am needing a formula can with its lid, if anyone has one that Kirsten could have. I would appreciate it and I bet Kirsten would to. She loves painting and making stuff.

I also wanted to share some new things Kirsten has learned. Kirsten has learned who has made her....if asked Kirsten says proudly "Jesus made me." She also says "God made me." She loves to be asked this question and talk about it. If you do ask her, if she isn't being shy, Kirsten might tell you what else God made.

This new knowledge of who made her also helps Kirsten to be nicer to her sister. The girls devotion that I read to them was talking about being selfish. Kirsten didn't understand it all to well yesterday. In the story it talked about a girl who wouldn't share the pancakes. When she kept them to herself the pancakes didn't taste that good. Well, Kirsten just talked to me about everyone in the family who liked pancakes and how she didn't. Today the girls were playing (after Kirsten was telling me all of what God made) and Kacy had something Kirsten wanted and Kirsten started talking ugly and taking the toy away. I got Kirsten's attention and told her "Jesus doesn't like us to talk ugly to people and Jesus doesn't like for us to be mean to people. Jesus want us to share toys and be nice to people." Kirsten goes on playing, but is being nice about it. An hour or two later, Kacy is not playing exactly how Kirsten wants Kacy to play. So, Kirsten is taking the toy away.

me: "Kirsten does Jesus like us to act that way?"

Kirsten: "No, Jesus wants us to be nice."

Kirsten looks at the toy with a sad look on her face, looks at her sister and then gives the toy back to Kacy with a big smile on her face.

I had to post some pictures of my girl who is growing up. Kirsten also tells me how she is growing up, but is still young.

Cameron's 2nd game

Cameron just got the ball from the other team.

He got the ball passed to him and it went right under his legs.

Cameron in this video at the end he makes a basket

In this video Cameron's defending

Cameron had his basketball pictures today and Josh decided Kirsten needed to get outside and play (it was a nice day). So, while Cameron was doing the pictures and we had an hour to spare. We took Kirsten outside and let her play in the field next to our church (Cameron is in our church basketball league). We did not have Kacy with us. Kacy had a birthday party to go to and I had cheerleading to go to. My mom said she would take Kacy to her friend's party. My mom kept Kacy with her until the game. Usually Kacy always wants to get back with mom and this time Kacy told Nana she wanted to stay with Nana.

Kirsten doing some air guitar

In the next three pictures I asked Kirsten to stop and smile at me for the camera.

Daddy got out there and chased his little girl

another yr older

Well, I am another year older and one more year until I turn 25. Here I am standing tall as a 24 year old and with the man of my dreams. He is so good to me and we are blessed to have 3 great kiddos. My parents ordered me a lens for my birthday and I am super excited about it. I can't wait for it to come in.

My Dad wanted a store bought cake. So, my mom had this design for my birthday cake picked out.

Kirsten

This post is to tell about some of the things my daughter has said that got me laughing. Every kid has their own way of thinking about things and this is Kirsten's. Plus I have not posted in a while. So, I thought I would post something.

one night Josh was sleeping (girls were supposed to be sleeping) and I was playing on the computer in our room. Kirsten walks in and starts talking loudly to me about why she was up. I tell her we have to be quiet that there is a man sleeping right over there in bed and I try to take her into the hall. So, we can talk. Kirsten goes past me and looks at Josh up close in his face. She turns to me and says "that's no man that's just daddy." Kirsten goes about her reasons why she doesn't need to sleep.

We are walking in from church and Josh was tired and achy. We are taking off our jackets. He says to me "I'm getting so old" Kirsten just happens to be walking by to hang her jacket up does not look at us does not stop what she is doing and says " I'm not, I'm still young." She says it with such spunk.

I love having kids and all the joys of having them that they bring.

Kirsten is making a mad face, my lovely little actress.

I added this picture just because I love this picture of Kacy. Plus on Saturday I will post about my Cam man and his basketball. Which he hates when I call him Cam and especially Cam man. He tells me that it is not his name, but he was called that for the majority of his toddler years.

rest/nap time blogging

The title has nothing to do with the post. It is just the time frame I am blogging.

Lately Lexie has been laying on Kacy while Kacy is trying to watch some TV. Kacy doesn't like it and she whines when Lexie gets up there. Before Lexie settles down and just lays there, Lexie always has to give Kacy a good licking. I got the pictures taken in the order of events. In the first picture Kacy is getting licked, second the wiping away of dog slobbers, and third Lexie laying her head down and Kacy goes back to watching TV.

I also wanted to post a picture from when Kacy just turned 2 and first got Lexie.

I guess I can go back to rest/nap time clean up.

first game

Cameron had his first game today. I can tell he has not had his basketball goal to practice on. Cameron was not as aggressive as he was last year. I guess I should use as confident as last year first game. Last year his basketball goal broke during that lovely winter weather. We are thinking about getting a YMCA membership and he could use the gym there.

Cameron before the game starts

Cameron dribbling the basketball. Since, he didn't get in there and get the ball. I don't have a lot of good videos of him. In this video, the whistle was blown because the other team was holding or trying to hold his jersey.

Cameron is blocking in this video.
